Nike Air Griffey Max 2:

About Nike Air Griffey Max 2

It appears Jordan Brand isn’t the only shoe company pulling out the big guns for 2011. New photos have revealed a star studded portion of Nike’s upcoming retro lineup for next summer. Leading off the lineup is Ken Griffey Jr. After the success of the Air Griffey Max 1, Nike is bringing out everything from the dugout with the return of the Nike Air Griffey Max II and the tech infused hybrid Nike Air Max Jr. basketball models include a cool grey makeup of the Nike Air Max Penny 1, OG and retro+ colorways of the Nike Air Max 2 CB 94, and an update version of the Nike Air Max Sensation.

Training and running are also not forgotten. The Nike Air Max Trainer 2 ’94 returns in two colorways along with the Nike Air Trainer SC II. The Nike Air Max Solas returns with a Lunar Glide midsole. Looking ahead, which pairs do you plan to cop next summer? Let us know in the comment section.

TSG confirmed that the Air Max2 Uptempo will return later on this year, and today we give you another Holiday 2011 preview. We broke the news last year about the return of the Air Griffey Max II, and the original colorway will hit stores next month, plus new colors dropping throughout the year. The Griffey line will be heating up Summer 2011, but more new colors of the Air Griffey Max 2 will be available in stores Holiday 2011. Take a look at the preview after the jump.

Nike shows us today that they still have plans for the Air Griffey Max II. Having already released in a slew of colorways (both retro and new) this year, Nike keeps the momentum going on the Griffey with this release. Nike presents the Air Griffey Max II in an interesting metallic grey colorway with mixes of lighter shades of grey thrown in between. Normally a grey colorway would mean the overall shoe would take on a more reserved look, but here it's not the case — the Griffey definitely stands out. If you're a fan of the Air Griffey II like we are, you'll definitely love these.
