About Jordan PTP`ER
One of Dicky V’s popular catch phrases gets carried over to a new basketball model from JB, the Jordan PTP’ER. Visible Air in the heel and sharp lines add cushion and style to the latest Team Jordan release. Two colors dropping in February make these a good transition into tournament time. Expect to see these worn on court by Brand Jordan athletes and schools. Here’s a new basketball shoe from Jordan Brand that’s totally awesome, baby! Named after the Dickie-V-ism for ‘prime time player’, the Air Jordan PTP’er is super scintillating sensational with its uniquely ‘JB’ style that manages to escape from being ‘just’ another hybrid. There are definitely familiar elements here, like how the rear midsole rises similarly to the Air Jordan VI or how the encircled Jumpman logo above it is reminiscent of the AJXIII ‘Playoffs’, but even though these sport the ‘Concord’ shade made famous on the Elevens, these PTP’ers have their own unique look.
These don’t look half bad. There are a nice mixture of materials on the upper including patent leather and ballistic style mesh, similar to the AJ XI, and a visible heel air sole. With this white/black and concord colorway it is easy to say they take cues from the AJ XI… but realistically they look more like the Air Flight Turbulence. Mostly we like the fact that these don’t really borrow much, if anything, from other Jordan’s from the past. These are a great example of what ‘Team Jordan’ shoes were like when first introduced back in the late ‘90s.
