About Air Jordan 2 (II)
The Air Jordan 2 was released in 1986/87 with a retail price of $105. The Air Jordan 2 was designed by Bruce Kilgore and Peter Moore. Like its predecessor, the Air Jordan 2's showed great innovation in design. The low-tops were produced in Italy, although no 2's were ever designed with black leather until the Nu' Retro release in 2003 and the Black/Chrome Retro+ release in 2004. The Jordan retro 2 were the last Air Jordan shoes to carry the Jordan Wings insignia. These shoes were also the first Air Jordan's to not have the "Swoosh" logo on the side or anywhere else on the shoe. The Air Jordan 2's were retroed in 1994 in small amounts and sold very poorly, finding themselves on discount racks at Footlocker or other shoe stores around the country.
